1pm – The Basics of Continuous Thermal Monitoring with Updates on Related Standards
Abstract
Learn how Continuous Thermal Monitoring (CTM) systems detect rising temperatures in electrical connections and components that can signal pending equipment failures. The session will also clarify how CTM reduces personnel safety risks when compared to conventional IR inspections, retrofit opportunities, and applicable standards such as IEEE, ANSI, and NFPA 70B.
Presenter
Peter Baen
Independent Consultant – Eaton Sr. Life Member of IEEE, Sr. Member of ISA
Before joining the Thermon Company in December of 1976, Peter Baen had been a member of the Math Faculty at SWTSU (now Texas State University). He later served as Charter Member of the Texas State University Math Advisory Board.
During his 40+ year career with the Thermon Company, his responsibilities included management and leadership of co-workers, including OEM and independent rep agencies for cooperative and coordinated sales efforts on national and international accounts and contracts.
